In late 2025, after more than two years, ASEA reached a mediated agreement in a Class Action Grievance over delays in resolving Notices of Pay Problem (NOPPs). This grievance encompassed 337 NOPPs filed by bargaining unit members between May 1, 2023, and Aug 30, 2024. ASEA presented compelling evidence of the scope and scale of unresolved NOPPs during mediation, leading the State to agree to pay respective amounts to settle all 337 NOPPs. Grievants have since received notification of pending adjustment and payments as determined by the agreement.
An important reminder - CHECK YOUR PAYSTUBS EACH PAY PERIOD and report any discrepancies IMMEDIATELY. Notify ASEA at the same time so we can help ensure resolution is met (no matter how long it takes!)
One more note: ASEA learned that the NOPP portal has been discontinued as of early 2026 and responses to NOPPs are again taking long periods of time to be processed. Please notify ASEA immediately of any NOPP issues and filing with the state so we can help track and resolve.
