ASEA Political Action Committee Voluntary Contribution Form

YES! I choose to voluntarily contribute to the ASEA Political Action Committee (PAC). This form—for ASEA members, ASEA retirees, and friends of the PAC—authorizes your support for the ASEA PAC through biweekly payroll deduction or annual single contribution.

logo for pac formThe PAC is open to all members of ASEA and is not a committee under the jurisdiction of the Union. The PAC is separately funded through voluntary contributions from members, retirees, and friends of ASEA. Any PAC contributor can become a voting member on the ASEA PAC Board of Directors.

During election cycles, ASEA PAC directors evaluate political candidates for possible endorsement and support. During the legislative sessions, ASEA PAC directors vote on whether to support, monitor, or oppose legislation.

About The PAC

The maximum contribution amount the PAC may accept from an individual is not regulated by state law. Contributions are not tax deductible.

  1. I understand that this contribution may be used for political purposes.
  2. I understand my contribution is voluntary and not required as a condition of union membership or employment.
  3. I understand that I may revoke authorization at any time and deductions will end within 30 days by submitting a revocation form or providing written notice to the Union.
  4. I understand my contribution remains in Alaska and by law cannot be used for campaigns outside of Alaska.
  5. I understand my contribution makes me eligible to serve as a PAC Director with a voice and a vote in PAC decisions.

Let's Talk Politics Briefly

Member dues cannot be used for political contributions. Union members can still be involved in supporting candidates and campaigns by authorizing an additional and voluntary deduction from their paycheck that is transferred to the ASEA Political Action Committee and stays in Alaska.

You may authorize a recurring payroll contribution to support the ASEA Political Action Committee. This is completely voluntary and the union will not favor or disadvantage anyone based on amount or decision to contribute.

I authorize my employer to deduct the following voluntary contribution from my paycheck each pay period, to be paid to the ASEA Political Action Committee.
