Dear GGU Member,
On October 7, 2016 I sent an email to inform you that if the Supervisory Union (SU) ratified their Tentative Agreement (TA) it was likely that the State would require GGU members to begin scheduling and taking furlough hours as provided in our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
I have been notified that the SU has ratified their TA. The State has also notified me that all Departments will begin requesting GGU members to schedule their furlough hours.
For your information and assistance you can access Appendix K of our CBA which provides for furlough hours by clicking on the following link:

Also, as I informed you in the October 7 message, GGU members who are eligible to retire within five years may elect to forfeit 22.5 hours of accrued Personal Leave instead of taking the required 15 furlough hours. You can access the LOA with this provision by clicking on the following link:

Beginning next week the Union will be conducting worksite meetings statewide to discuss the furlough provisions. Additionally, if you have any questions regarding the furlough requirements please contact your assigned Business Agent.
