Introduction:
The Women’s Issues Committee of the Alaska State Employees Association (ASEA), AFSCME Local 52, presents the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Award every second year at the ASEA biennial convention.
The purpose of the award is to acknowledge ASEA members who work toward resolving challenges and inequalities to improve the working conditions of ASEA members and their families through action and advocacy.

Application period is the December to February prior to each ASEA biennial convention.
Qualifications:
- Nominees for the RUTH BADER GINSBURG AWARD must be an ASEA member in good standing with the union.
- Applications must include a Statement of Qualification and a Statement of Support for the nominees.
- The nominator must supply contact information for themselves and the nominee.
Recognition:
Successful nominees will be notified the last week of February and recognized at the following ASEA biennial convention.
Deadline for Application:
COMPLETED APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE ASEA WOMEN’S ISSUES COMMITTEE ON OR BEFORE February 20 at 5:00 p.m.
