Thanksgiving Blessing Food Bank Event

On Monday, November 25^th, please join the Anchorage Next Wave Committee in serving Alaskans in need during the Anchorage city-wide Thanksgiving Blessing event. Coordinated by the Alaska Food Bank and its distribution partners across Anchorage, this event feeds approximately 10,000 families a meal on Thanksgiving each year.

The Spenard Community Recreation Center at 2020 W. 48^th Avenue in Anchorage is our venue this year, and member volunteers will be performing a variety of roles, including turkey bagging, personal shopper positions, and item ferrying

Two shifts are available: 5:00pm-7:00pm &  6:30pm-8:30pm

Please indicate when RSVP’ing how many individuals will be attending in your party, and which shift you are signing up for. Please consider donating your time to help a worthy cause and a great organization!

EVENT FINE PRINT:

• Volunteers are not required to bring anything but themselves
• Event is family friendly! Children (w/accompanying adult) are welcome
• Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your shift to check in and receive a brief orientation
• Wear your union colors (green)! All new volunteers will be given a free ASEA branded t-shirt, while supplies last.
