ASEA members are facing a new personnel policy from the State of Alaska called Universal Space Standards.
The policy makes no allowance for space based on departmental productivity, employee or client privacy needs, or safety and health; rather, it is based on moving more employees into smaller spaces as the State of Alaska gets rid of some of its office building leases. Worksite meetings are in progress to discuss this important issue. ASEA has heard and responded to requests that a website page to offer employee concerns be posted.
